Spotlight on The Homeschool Network

October 7, 2024

What began as a small, heartfelt initiative by Bethany Kleinheksel toprovide her three-year-old with social connections has blossomed into a dynamicand thriving non-profit organization: The Homeschool Network. From its humblebeginnings, this organization has grown into a lifeline for homeschoolingfamilies, offering a rich blend of community, education, and creativeactivities that foster growth for both children and parents.

Bethany’s vision for The Homeschool Network is rooted in creating anurturing environment where families can connect, learn, and flourish together. The organization hosts a full spectrum of activities designed to balance theacademic with the social, offering everything from field trips and projectfairs to vibrant talent shows and theatrical productions. With a calendarbrimming with events—such as fall formals, playdates, game days, and even adedicated mom group for parental support—The Homeschool Network provides aschool-like structure while embracing the freedom and creativity thathomeschooling offers. This year’s lineup even includes a special production of ToyStory, a testament to the group's love for blending learning withentertainment.

After exploring numerous venues, Bethany and her team found their perfectpartner in the Frisco Performing Arts Center (FriscoPAC). Other locationsfailed to meet their expectations, but FriscoPAC’s professionalism, seamlesscommunication, and supportive staff made all the difference. The HomeschoolNetwork appreciates the center’s organized approach and willingness to go aboveand beyond, ensuring their events—especially talent shows and plays—run withouta hitch. The professional stage and state-of-the-art facilities at FriscoPACprovide the ideal backdrop for students to showcase their talents, elevatingtheir performances to new heights.

For Bethany, The Homeschool Network is about more than just education—it’sabout offering an alternative learning experience that fosters creativity, community, and personal growth. Under her leadership, the organization hasbecome a cherished resource for homeschooling families, providing not onlyacademic enrichment but also a strong sense of belonging and support. Thanks toits collaboration with FriscoPAC, The Homeschool Network continues to flourishas a space where families can thrive, learn, and grow together.
